Citywide Clean-up is April 25

APRIL 25th

RESIDENTIAL -- CITY WIDE CLEANUP DAY

ALL ITEMS THAT ARE CHARGED FOR MUST BE PREPAID AND TAGGED

ORANGE TAGS CAN BE PURCHASED AT CITY HALL            

  1. Items must be sorted and placed near the curb into the following groups:
    1. Appliances and electronics   (see item #5 for charges)
    2. Furniture items
    3. Metal and iron    (see item # 2)
    4. Building materials
    5. Regular household garbage has to be in the trash carts
  2. Metal and iron items should be no longer than 10 feet, swingsets etc need to be disassembled.
  3. Building materials should be tied into bundles 3’X3’X3’, capable of being handled by one person.
  4. All glass shall be removed from doors and windows—glass needs to be placed into sturdy metal, wood, or plastic containers.
  5. Appliance charges are as follows:
    1. Household Appliances-----------------------$25.00 eac
    2. Small Dorm Refrigerators--------------------$15.00 eac
    3. Furnaces----------------------------------------$25.00 each
    4. Electronics-------------------------------------$11.00 each
    5. Mattresses & Boxsprings---------------------$11.00 each
    6. Television’s -----Depends on Size----------$20.00 to $35.00
    7. Computer Monitors---------------------------$20.00 each
    8. Couches and Recliners-----------------------$10.00 each
    9. Chairs, Dressers and TV Stands-------------$5.00 each
    10. Building Material/Wood Products----------$10.00 each bundle (see #3)
    11. Water Softener Tank--------------------------$10.00 each
  6. Tire charges are as follows:
    1. Car tires------------------------$5.00 each (TIRES WITHOUT RIMS ONLY)
    2. Truck tires---------------------$7.50 each
    3. Large rear tractor tires------$25.00 each
  7. Automotive batteries are free of charge, but must NOT leak fluid.
  8. Paint cans must be empty and/or dry with lids removed.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED !!!!

  1. No toxic products, flammable liquids or explosive items.
  2. No yard waste such as flowers or grass.
  3. No tree branches.
  4. No concrete, rocks or bricks.

ITEMS WILL BE LEFT AT THE CURB IF THESE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
